What inspired you to become an artist?
I love drawing cute things, funny things, things that make my friends laugh. It’s kind of therapeutic, you know? It’s just one of those things that has stuck with me my whole life.
What’s your dream art project?
I’d love to do a mural on the side of a building!
Do you have any rituals or habits to get into the creative flow?
Listening to music 100%! Bonus if I can sing along because I like to pretend I’m a rockstar when I’m drawing.
How would you describe your artistic style
My art style is cute quirky and colourful. I love my style and wouldn’t change it for the world.
What LAMY instrument did you enjoy the most and why? Or what did you find most enjoyable about using LAMY during this creative process
I really enjoyed the Pico Ballpoint Pen, it’s cute and compact and easy to handle. The Ink is thick and smooth and flows well. For the entire process, the LAMY products were incredible and a pleasure to use. The quality is amazing and everything just worked. I didn’t have to troubleshoot anything or find a work around. What was your first impression of the rockefeller hotel and how did the space or surroundings influence your creativity. Was there a particular spot or detail at the rockefeller that inspired part of your work? How did your experience at rockefeller differ from other places you’ve stayed as an artist?
My first impression was “WOW!” It’s a stunning property. Everything is so neat and well styled and the staff are so professional and friendly. I love that it’s not afraid to go bold and have gorgeous art pieces and statement features as part of the decor. It wasn’t boring and minimalistic, it was fun and vibey. Exactly what I want to experience when I’m away on holiday. There were several areas and pieces that inspired me. It was hard to choose!
If you had to describe the rockefeller in one word or phrase, what would it be and why?
In one word - VIBES! But for a phrase, I’d definitely say “Bold, Stylish and a whole lotta fun!”
