What to expect from personalised finishes
LAMY products are made using different materials, finishes, and production techniques. Because of this, personalised results may vary slightly from product to product.
- Each item responds uniquely to laser engraving
- Minor variations are a natural part of the personalisation process
Special note on engraving finishes
- On AL-star pens, laser engraving reveals the aluminium base beneath the surface.
- On the Safari range, engraving exposes the plastic colour of the pen instead.
- Please note that engraving on the black Safari is especially subtle due to the dark plastic finish.
- Engraving is not available on transparent materials, such as the LAMY safari vista.

How personalisation works
Personalisation is completed off-site by specialist partners and processed in scheduled batches to ensure a consistent, high-quality finish across all products.
- Personalised orders are processed twice a week
- Orders confirmed by Monday at 12:00 are included in the Tuesday processing run
- Orders confirmed by Wednesday at 12:00 are included in the Thursday processing run
Once personalisation is complete, each item is carefully quality-checked before being dispatched.
Turnaround time
Please allow up to 7 working days from order confirmation to dispatch.
This timeframe includes personalisation, quality control, and dispatch under normal operating conditions, while delivery may take an additional few days after that, depending on your location.
During peak gifting periods, processing frequency may increase, which can occasionally shorten turnaround times.
Important information before ordering
- Personalised items are made especially for you and are non-returnable, unless faulty
- All personalised products undergo a quality check before dispatch
- Once an order is confirmed, personalisation details cannot be changed
